Attachment loops installed in a brand new Skoda Enyaq. Not a must but very helpful with our long lasting rear facing seats using tether straps.
Parent will install a BeSafe Stretch later on and we provided our usual advice for an awesome installation. Don`t follow the official video/instructions and instead extend support leg at the very end.
Your Stretch will then be rock solid in the car. Installing attachment loops by yourself is easy and we have detailed videos on FB and our YT channel.

Axkid ONE and BeSafe iZi Plus in a Volvo V70. Trying new seats for the family and snapping a few pics with current setup.
ONE is the most compact rear facing seat and also slides on a rail so leg space for child is almost unlimited. Todays seat with around 30 degree angle and massive leg space.
Previous large seller iZi Plus up front with airbag off. Needs giant space in the car but installation up front usually great regardless of car thanks to the ARB at feet of child.
Downside is view in right side mirror which usually is near zero. Like in todays car.

Nice adventure with a Ford Mustang Mach-E and three rear facing seats. When I think about Mustang my memories go back to the 80’s, small back seat, convertible and the nice sounding V8 engine. Useless car for small kids and nothing like the new spacious model.
Parent already has an Axkid ONE 3 and a BeSafe Stretch. Great seats but rarely good options for fitting three across.
We try a few different combinations and the new seat will be an Axkid Minikid 4 Pro or Max since it’s the most compact rear facing seat with belt installation. The seats also both work well next to others.
ONE 3 is the most compact rear facing seat and is placed behind driver. Stretch needs far more space and is placed behind passenger. And then a Minikid 4 Pro in the middle.
Installation in middle rear next to a seat with Isofix usually works poorly but surprisingly well in this car. Stretch is pulled a bit closer to the door and Minikid kids easily fits.
Tether straps for Minikid and Stretch under seat rails. We also re-install Stretch with our usual tricks to make it rock solid. Angle for Minikid around 30-35 degrees and child has good leg space.

Axkid Minikid Core and BeSafe Stretch in a VW Passat. Brand new Core is Plustested but does not use tether straps which means very easy installation. Especially in the front seat with airbag off.
A ”disadvantage” of Core is less photos with seats completely installed. When parents see the easy installation they bring the seat home and install themselves.
We tried the seat up front with good view in right side mirror and also improved installation of Stretch. Remember to pull up support leg, press down on seat to make the self-adjusting straps work and then extend leg again at the very end. Seat will then be rock solid.

Axkid Minikid 4 Pro installed in a Ford Ranger. In the background a Britax Max/Way Plus which was re-installed a bit tighter.
We are trying seats to make sure it will both fit the child and in the car. This 7-year old easily fits in her Minikid with plenty of space up front.
Good with rear facing safety when the family is doing lots of adventures. Nice leg space for child with angle of 25-30 degrees which could be a bit more upright if needed.

The mentally ill in US are busy protesting the "No Kings". Over here we have our own King. ONE/ONE 2/ONE 3, the King of leg space.
Best of luck finding decent, not huge or massive, leg space with any rear facing seat installed with Isofix.
ONE 2 installed in a Peugeot 5008 which has Isofix in middle rear. Awesome! Unclear why but the latest hybrid versions unfortunately lack Isofix in the middle.
ONE is the most compact rear facing seat in the world which means it’s usually possible to provide good leg space for child and great space for passenger up front even in small cars.

Porsche Macan with Britax Kidfix Pro "Urban Olive" and Britax Swivel 2 "Chai" in the back seat. Five year old sitting in Kidfix and 12-month old now changing from infant seat to Swivel 2.
My color sense is terrible but the person at Britax responsible should receive a massive pay raise. So many awesome colors!
The car is quite spacious to be a small sporty SUV and Swivel 2 fits nicely with plenty of space up front for a tall adult. The included baby/infant insert is very thick although we recommend start using the seat when a child can sit unassisted.
Swivel 2 is slightly upgraded and the upper head portion of the insert can now be removed which is a welcome change to avoid head falling forward when napping. Tried both "Midnight Grey", which match color of the car better, and "Chai" which was the final decision.

Axkid Minikid 4 Max in a Tesla Model Y. Home delivery with installation with the most beautiful color ever created by Axkid. But not always so practical;-)
We talk a lot about having to install attachment loops in cars by Tesla. Today we did not know owner had a Tesla or we would have brought along loops. But there is a solution although this requires expert knowledge.
After moving front seat far forward straps can be attached securely underneath back of seat. This will work but has two disadvantages. When passenger seat is moved tether straps needs to be adjusted again. And straps can also be frayed when constantly adjusting front seat.
Minikid installed with lots of leg space for a 4-year old and an additional 5-10 cm can be provided if needed. Angle around 30 degrees and huge space in front seat for a tall adult.
Seat is beyond rock solid and passes our standard of a rear facing seat with belt installation..... When pushing/pulling on seat it will not move at all but car will move from side to side.

Attachment loops in a brand new Tesla Model Y Premium. Picking up your new Tesla is both awesome and frustrating.
The car has great performance and is very spacious. Perfect for rear facing kids in the back seat with lots of leg space and a tall adult in the front.
Then you realize that the car has no attachment loops for your supersafe Plustested rear facing seat. And it`s not possible to attach under seat rails like in all other cars.
We use extra long loops in the back and long up front. Fine to install yourself but be thorough and select the right socket and tighten with a torque meter.

Axkid Minikid 4 Max installed in a VW ID.Buzz with airbag off. We often receive questions regarding rear facing seats in these type of "work vehicles" and there are basically three challenges. Doesn`t really matter if it`s an ID.Buzz, Ford Transit, Fiat Ducato, VW Transport, etc.
Number one is view in right side mirror which usually is poor. Number two is where to attach tether straps. And number three is selecting the proper rear facing seat
We would like to move front seat, the two person "sofa", far forward to make car seat lean against dashboard but this is not possible. In this Buzz seat is far from dashboard but view in right side mirror is still awesome. Very unusual!
Tether straps are threaded through the small space under our "sofa" and attached to solid steel bars under the seat. Cushion of "sofa" can be opened and a few minutes are required to properly place tethers.
Selection of seat is important. Not only Plus Test but view in right side mirror and ease of installation. Remember that Axkid Minikid 3/4/Movekid/Core/4 Pro/4 Max and Klippan Opti 129 ALWAYS are best in front seat regardless of vehicle. Today we try Minikid 4 and Core where view in mirror was better with Minikid 4.
Popular seats such as BeSafe Stretch, Britax Max-Way/Max-Way Plus/Max-Safe Pro/Safe-Way M, and Axkid Minikid 1/2 are usually poor options with no view in right side mirror.
Minikid 4 Max has the self-locking tether straps and one simple clamp in middle of the seat to fix seat belt. Installation requires max. one minute.
Lower straps stick out under the "sofa", are not in the way and left in place when seat is removed. As a summary, this is a fantastic solution for transporting a rear facing child for MANY years in an awesome Plustested seat.

Axkid ONE 2 in a VW Sharan. Great family car with three "real" seats with Isofix.
Leg space with ONE 2 is massive and unheard of with rear facing seats installed using Isofix. Spoiling this 5.5-year old?;-) Lots of leg space for a rear facing child using Isofix is like seeing Bigfoot and Loch Ness the same day. Unless you have a ONE/ONE 2/ONE 3.
How many rear facing seats in the world installed with Isofix offer good leg space (except ONE/ONE 2/ONE 3?). The answer is zero. Null. Zilch. None. Ninguna. Keiner. Noll.

Making an Axkid Minikid 2 better than new. We would love to sell you a new seat but why throw away one of the best rear facing seats ever made?
The issue with the broken rivet is not unusual and seat can absolutely not be used when crotch mechanism is loose. In most cases only rivet is replaced but occasionally the black plastic cap also needs replacement.
Not a difficult repair but it`s 2026 and nowadays most adults don`t even know what a rivet is......;-)

Some nice triple Axkid UP action in a Volvo V90. Fitting three high back boosters in a car with a “normal” middle seat is not possible unless UP is used.
There will be “buckle crunch” in the middle with all other boosters and seat will end up on top of buckles. This is not only very impractical but also unsafe.
UP is very narrow in the back and will therefore fit in the middle in almost every car. Volvo V90 is a large car but like others it does have a fairly narrow middle seat.
If UP wasn’t available one child would have to use front seat with airbag on, which is perfectly fine, but an adult would have to sit in middle rear which is very uncomfortable.
Although UP is very narrow it`s tight with three across and tough to attach the seat belt. Best to slide seat slightly to the side, attach seat belt and then attach Isofix.
Girl sitting in the seat could have belt lower below the stommach and also not have belt slightly twisted.

Axkid Minikid 4 in a Skoda Octavia. Moving seat from back to front with airbag off to make room for infant seat with Isofix base behind passenger seat.
Angle around 30 degrees for older child. We crossed tether straps behind seat for easier installation. As usual easy to thread straps under seat rails in Skoda.
There are two potential drawbacks in passenger seat. View in right mirror and leg space for child. Best seats up front are always Minikid 3/4/Movekid or Klippan Opti 129. Seats are not safer but view in right side mirror is always good.
Leg space can be provided in all cars by Volvo which have attachment loops also in front. Also possible in premium models of BMW/Audi/Mercedes. Leg space in front seat is for all other cars limited.

Two Axkid Minikid Pro in Peugeot 5008. A spacious family car with three “real” seats on second row. Peugeot has unfortunately decided to make the car worse and has removed Isofix in middle seat in latest models.
Britax Max-Way Plus nicely installed previously by the parents. Easy installation both in middle rear and front seat with airbag off. A little tough to fit tether straps in front seat since side is covered in plastic.
Angle around 30-35 degrees and little leg space used since kids are small. Plenty of space up front for adults.
#rearfacing #axkid #axkidminikid4pro #peugeot5008
Axkid ONE 2 in a Hyundai Santa Fe. Nice leg space for child and plenty of space up front for driver thanks to the very compact size of ONE 2.

Attachment loops installed in Skoda Scala and Skoda Octavia. Might as well take care of both family cars while we’re at it.
Parents have previously attached tether straps at seat bight, the space between vehicle seat cushions and back. Not pretty, clumsy and tether straps must also be readjusted as soon as front seat is moved.
We always use extra long loops in the back of Skoda and long loops up front. Installing not only looks great but is also very functional.
The experienced nerd can, by looking at straps, see that current seats used are Maxi-Cosi Mobi and Axkid Minikid.

Axkid ONE 3 in a Ford Kuga. Good leg space for child and huge space up front for a tall adult.
#rearfacing #axkid #axkidone3 #fordkuga
Tesla Model Y is a spacious car but it`s almost impossible to install rear facing car seats with tether straps. That`s why we always install attachment loops in cars by Tesla.
We use extra long loops in the rear and long in the front. Check out the installation video on our YouTube channel, Facebook or blog post on our site which has all the minor details.

Just to let you know that the seat arrived safe and sound this morning and we are already loving it.
Although I bought this seat for my 19-months-old daughter, my 4-years-old son absolutely wanted to give it a try and love it. I just wanted to thank you for your great work, we’ll for sure recommend your website for friends who might want to go rear facing.
Just to let you know that we got our MaxWay yesterday afternoon and already install it in to the car. It’s just a great product and our baby seems to feel very comfortable sitting in there; very happy as well as now he can watch by the window. I’ll definitely recommend this kind of seat to other moms here. Once again many thanks for everything.
We received our KLIPPAN TRIOFIX last week and we are very satisfied so far. It’s very easy to install, it fits perfect in my opel corsa and our baby girl seems very happy.
